Eloping at Golden Ears Provincial Park

mountain elopement BC

Golden Ears Provincial Park is one of British Columbias most favoured elopement locations.

It offers vast landscapes, lakes, flowing waterfalls, enchanted feeling forests and beautiful winding roads. It is a park suitable for an elopement anytime of year. It shows off during all four seasons. You can get hot summer days to softly falling winter snow.

It is ideal for an intimate elopement near Vancouver due to its closely connected variety.

Golden Ears Park is also one of the easiest parks to elope in as weddings and elopement are not restricted or monitored in the park.

Do I need a permit to elope at Golden Ears Provincial Park?

You do not need a permit to get married at Golden Ears, which makes it such an easy place to elope.

However, it sometimes requires a day use pass on some weekdays and weekends in peak summer months.

  • Legally, you need 2 witnesses, a wedding officiant and a marriage license to get married anywhere in British Columbia.

  • I am a huge advocate for embracing the elements at Golden Ears. There is beauty in that park regardless of the elements. I suggest getting some umbrellas and going for it!

  • I personally love Spirea Nature Trail, Gold Creek or North Beach for more intimate, quiet elopement locations.
